(I don’t know who “Bill” – as it says on the photo – is. So many mysteries when I go through old photos, even though I spent a lot of time labeling them with her.)
i love love love old family photos and am always envious of people who have photos of their parents when they were young or their grandparents when they were young….i’ve never seen old photos of my mom when she was young or my grandmother before she passed when she was young – they just didn’t have any….i often think that’s part of the reason why i’m into photography so much and love to document everything.
This picture is wonderful. I want to be transplanted into that scene. And those pants!
I’ve been feeling my grandfather’s loss a lot more poignantly the last few months, too. A bit over three years, too. It doesn’t really get much easier, does it?
I’ve been thinking of my lost ones so much lately! Grief is a sneaky beast, there one day and gone the next. Somehow it makes me smile to think that mine and yours are hanging out on another plane together….Sending lots of love and squeezes. xo

I am super, super lucky to have so many. I keep finding new stashes of photos to go through, and I LOVE seeing my grandmother as a little girl.

I’m glad you have these pictures to remember her by and hold close. My grandma has a bunch, but she can’t part with them yet.
Better to have the grandma!
Oh yes of course! Perhaps I wrote that out wrong. I just meant that I love the pictures of her as a younger woman.
