The one thing I haven’t gotten used to after 14 years in the Bay Area is Summer being in Fall. I like warm weather in the Summer (it’s cold in the summer here,) and when September rolls around and I want crisp air, apple pie, mulled cider, kicking through fallen leaves! Vermont runs in my blood, forever. Instead, it’s muggy and hot, and will stay hot until Halloween!! Boo!
I’m so into so many of the looks for Fall, I just want it to get cold so I can tap into my own versions of everything. Cold cold cold!!! Happen now!!!
1940s suits, exaggerated shoulders.
Red, fairytales, cravats, black forest flair.
Wild traveling circus goblins.
The ubiquitous polka dot tights. Even looking at them is SO nostalgicmaking for 87-89, I wore them constantly.
1940’s inspired hats!
This design is based off a vintage 1940’s hat: I’ll be adding more in a variety of fabrics & trims to Etsy soon!!
I lived in San Diego for a little while and the idea that I wouldn’t even have anything close to an autumn was very upsetting! Half of my wardrobe sat in closets and drawers (I’m from Indiana. We do fall right!).
I love the lace/patterned tights (stockings?) in the 6th photo. I must have them.
This is my first comment in your blog, by the way. I love reading it. : ) Hi!
Eeeeee those clothes are SO RAD! Should I plunk down $15 for Vogue Italia in order to own (pictures of) them all?
Your wood-grained hat is genius. I would wear that to work! 😉
Kai: They’re all from different places! The 1st 4 are from US September Vogue.
Ash: Thanks & hello! I also want as many pairs of lace tights as possible. Sigh!
