bust magazine

photoshoot

Crazy things! I was asked by BUST magazine (via Tricia of Bits & Bobbins) to do a shoot for the Looks page. (Check out Keiko Lynn‘s take on it!)

Don’t worry, this isn’t a whole outfit so you aren’t getting anything sneaky, it’s me being melodramatic while Gabriela checks the light.

I woke up moon-timing, bloaty and grumpy! I felt terribly self conscious! The photographer, Gabriela Hasbun, was so great and friendly and relaxing that it made it ok. I hope they like some of the shots! It was a lot of fun, and it’s so exciting to work with a real photographer to see how amazingly they use light and composition. For as many photos as I take of myself / outfits, it’s soooo different to have a person and not a tripod behind the camera – she’ll have to sort out one million ultra goofy faced ones! Self conscious and silly.

It’s inspiring me to sew more, and to think more about how I dress. With a 9-5 job, it’s hard to always want to wake up and get fancy. But I DO want to wake up and get fancy!

Still on the quest to find time to do it all — slowly, slowly.

  1. Man, that’s AWESOME! Which issue will this be in? Can’t wait to see it.

And I know what you mean about office 9-5. I’m still new at my job, so I still have to keep testing the waters of what is ok to wear. And I’m so tired and grouchy in the mornings, I can never pull together a fun outfit.

  2. ha! you look amazing (as ever) – i love your uber-dramatic pose. i can’t wait to see – will you post the article when it’s out?

i’m feeling a little drab at the moment – it’s the seasonal transitional blues, nothing fits, nothing looks quite right, i want to wake up and look fancy!

  3. OMG!!! Tamera, I *knew* I would see you one day in BUST magazine…

This is amazing news & congratulations to you, Sweetie — you deserve this & I can’t wait to see the results!!!
