We’ve had to shuffle our holiday celebrations to coincide with when my brother has the boys, so Christmas happened yesterday! We’ve taken over hosting as our house is the largest – it’s been super fun to take on that role and make everything pretty and cozy. (Instagram shots here – the photos above were obviously taken before children descended upon us.)
This is the first year we made Christmas crackers – it wasn’t hard and it was fun to fill them with trinkets of our own choosing. We didn’t use a cracker snap but cut the cardboard roll to easily snap in half and then perforated the outside paper – so it “popped” when you twisted them open, and opened easily.
It’s a little wild to have everything done with a whole week stretching ahead of us. I have lots of big plans to paint a couple rooms in the house, but I imagine there will be some reading and tiny hikes in between.
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!!
