the city

Back after a fast 5 days in NYC – mostly working but a few snippets of good – raw vegan lunch with Anna and Jenna, a weekend with the lovely Vivian of shopping and eating and making up for 3 months of rural living, and the serendipity of waking up on the 2nd anniversary of my beloved grandmother’s death just a few blocks from where she grew up. Feeling close.

I turn 36 tomorrow and I’m not super happy about it. Stressed, not eating right, and not exercising – the triumvirate of low energy & aches and pains & feelin’ old. Gotta get it together! For now, just happy to be home after a few wonderful holiday-feeling days in the city. (Forgive the grainy iPhone photos – I didn’t bring a camera!)

  1. I actually dig all the iphone pics. They have a nice quality to them. They look vintagey.

    1. OH god Sean got a pie last night and it was terrible. TERRIBLE. I felt so bad but even he couldn’t eat it. SOBBING. WANT HOLLY. WANT PIE.

      There’s barely any snow. 😉

  3. I’m a December baby too, the day right after you! Happy Birthday, I know mine usually stresses me out too. It’s like New Year’s Eve for me, all this pressure and expectation to have the best day ever, and that’s a lot to live up to. Also, I see you went to Catbird, my favorite place ever!
