Back after a fast 5 days in NYC – mostly working but a few snippets of good – raw vegan lunch with Anna and Jenna, a weekend with the lovely Vivian of shopping and eating and making up for 3 months of rural living, and the serendipity of waking up on the 2nd anniversary of my beloved grandmother’s death just a few blocks from where she grew up. Feeling close.
I turn 36 tomorrow and I’m not super happy about it. Stressed, not eating right, and not exercising – the triumvirate of low energy & aches and pains & feelin’ old. Gotta get it together! For now, just happy to be home after a few wonderful holiday-feeling days in the city. (Forgive the grainy iPhone photos – I didn’t bring a camera!)
looks like it was a fun trip! i would honestly rather take iphone photos these days–it takes much less effort to upload them and post!
also way less effort to take! I wonder if the 4S is better in low light?
the pictures a re perfect. they make me pine for nyc.
Do I spy any part of ABC Home? If so, color me jealous.
Nope! Dream Hotel, the office I was working out of, Rye, Walter Foods, ummmm, what else? Which looks like ABC Home?
You make me want to travel, miss.
You’re a mere hop to NYC! I used to go all the time when I lived in Philly. Hopefully soon you’ll be able to travel a bit?
miss you, pooh!!!
Looks like a wonderful trip, and I hope you had a good birthday!
I actually dig all the iphone pics. They have a nice quality to them. They look vintagey.
Also you have BEAUTIFUL nails. Is that weird to say?
Mine aren’t that attractive so I always notice it in others.
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
missing you like the dickens, here in the austin airport, the day after your birthday. yesterday i was describing in detail the traveling banana cream pie and thought i would like to bicycle one to you in vermont….but then i remembered the snow.love love love. holly..
OH god Sean got a pie last night and it was terrible. TERRIBLE. I felt so bad but even he couldn’t eat it. SOBBING. WANT HOLLY. WANT PIE.
There’s barely any snow. 😉
Happy December Birthday! Mine is on the 10th – I love December!
I’m a December baby too, the day right after you! Happy Birthday, I know mine usually stresses me out too. It’s like New Year’s Eve for me, all this pressure and expectation to have the best day ever, and that’s a lot to live up to. Also, I see you went to Catbird, my favorite place ever!
Happy Birthday! I’m also a December baby (the 1st), but I’ve got several years on you.
Love the Laduree photo!
someday, let’s get together~ vermont, or nyc, yes?
Yes! Do you live between the 2?
