A stash of goodies added to the Etsy shop!! Take a peek — all sales while in Vermont will go toward working on my tiny cabin retreat (a post with new photos will come soon – I’m about to run out the door to build!) so shop away with love! Below is a tiny selection, check out the link!
Wow, I kinda love that ’90s alt fashion is making a comeback. With that straw hat and rayon “dustbowl” dress, I would swear you were in the video for 10,000 Maniacs “Trouble Me.” The one where she, uh, plays hide and seek with a bunch of elderly women under furniture covers. Yeah, it always kind of weirded me out, too.
If you want this stuff to sell, try to find a way to get all the girls at Tartine to see your shop. They live for this shit.
Also, that sailor suit is to die for!
i have no idea how to get those girls to see it! mleh. i wish, though. why are all tartine girls so adorable?
I have a few friends that work there. I will forward around the link.
I was sickly obsessed with 10,000 maniacs, but we did not have videos in the wilderness. now i must go look them up on mtv. (better quality than youtube!)
ummmm yes it looks exactly. god i love her so much. hope chest is my favorite album — early 80s, though, and creepy.
Yes! Hope Chest is great. If I am remembering correctly, it’s actually two of their older EPs released together as an album. I want to say the Wishing Chair and the Secrets of the I Ching. I love “Poor Di Chirico.” It’s so fantastically nerdy to turn the plight of an artist into a little off-pop song, especially by singing about Dada but actually just singing “Da…da…DA!”
