Every hexmas I watch Bell, Book & Candle – I think Gillian might be my #1 fashion icon. For dinner this year, I’ve got a long sleeve black silk velvet 1960s dress I plan to sparkle up with rhinestone bracelets and brooches. I need way more dressing up occasions in my life! New Years resolution?

Eeep! Love this – both the movie and the look.
Eep! I love that red dress. Such style.
In 2004 or so I took christmas photos for my (then living) grandparents in a dress almost exactly like that, from the 60s. Now, I think I couldn’t fit one arm in it!!
Yeeees. That red dress is amazing. Ever since my wedding dress arrived (and I’ve been dancing around with it in the bedroom) I’ve realized I need more occasions for long elegant dresses in general. Galas? Premieres? Opera? I like this New Years Resolution idea…
OH! One of my favorite movies! SUPER post and some of the best stills! I think I will make the first photo my Christmas card next year 😀
Thanks for the amazing post :)_
when gillian comes prancing out in that leopard number i actually exclaimed “I LOVE THIS MOVIE!”, and i was watching it alone. The set design and costumes were just so spot-on. oh! i should also mention kim novak’s eyebrows! what a babe!
I have never seen this movie! It looks intriguing.
I don’t have many occassions to wear super fancy things, but to be honest…I have a lot of fancy dresses and I just wear them around the house on the regular. I literally lounge around in silk maxi dresses and slippers, and sometimes a nice cardigan. I’m usually the most over-dressed person in my living room at any given time. ; )
